On Gooning: The Blissful Erasure of the Self
Gooning is not something you can fake. It is the point at which arousal has so thoroughly saturated the mind that cognition recedes — not all at once, but in slow, gorgeous waves — until what remains is pure, helpless, animal wanting. The thinking stops. The performance stops. The curated version of yourself that you brought through my door dissolves. What I am left with is something far more interesting: the raw, pre-verbal creature underneath.
I find gooning beautiful. I do not say that to be provocative. I say it because I mean it. There is something genuinely moving about watching a person lose themselves so completely to sensation and suggestion that their eyes go soft and their mouth opens slightly and they stop knowing what day it is. It requires real surrender. And real surrender, in my experience, is rarer than people think.
The goon state cannot be rushed. That is its most important characteristic. It is the result of sustained, controlled arousal — edging done not once or twice but repeatedly, for long enough that the brain's reward circuitry becomes overwhelmed. Dopamine loops without resolution. The body hums at a frequency it was not designed to maintain. The mind, unable to process the load, simply... softens.
I take my time getting someone there. I am in no hurry. Each time I bring you close and pull back, I am teaching your nervous system a new lesson — that I own the progression, that there is no climax without my permission, that the plateau is where we live now. By the fourth or fifth edge, the calculation in your eyes has gone. By the sixth, you are somewhere I put you, and you cannot leave without my help.
What I find, consistently, is that the goon state is one of the most honest places a person can inhabit. The defenses that protect ordinary life have no purchase there. Whatever you think you want when you walk in my door — whatever fantasy you rehearsed on the train — is irrelevant by then. You want what I give you. You are grateful for it. That is the only clarity that remains.
If this state interests you, approach me with intention. Gooning under my supervision is not something I offer casually. It requires trust, and trust requires a thoughtful introduction.
